my lil trip to austin was truly one of the best because of all the active outdoorsy things we filled it with, like kayaking on lake austin, a free yoga class, lots of running, & a lil solo day walking to the ut turtle pond!! it also made me realize that a lot of people don’t have as much fun with movement because they only think of it as a means to an end, rather than as something to be enjoyed both mentally & physically. SO, here are some cutie lil pics from our activities + 5 reasons to move that have nothing to do with measuring your body or food: πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈ going to a workout class w a trained instructor/trainer can help ensure that you’re practicing correct form for maximum safety & strength/skill-building πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈ running, walking, & biking are great ways to explore all the lil nooks & crannies of a new place (+ cheap transportation no matter where you are) πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈ taking advantage of a free workout class is a great way to access a fun activity &/or discover a new type of movement πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈ doing active hobbies is a safe & healthy activity to do with others πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈ practicing your favorite form of movement alone is a great way to reserve time for thought (or the opposite- a way to reserve time to finally take a break from thinking!)
