I always find it so funny when people find out I’m an esthetician...they either have no idea if I’m speaking english or not, or they have a million random questions about skincare! Any other estheticians relate? I want to be clear, I don’t have a problem with either reaction if I am being honest! But I wanted to talk about something really quickly... Asking for personalized skincare advice or specific product recommendations (e.g. what cleanser do you recommend for my acne? how often should I use this vitamin c serum I have? should I use retinol? etc.) without giving any background on your skin or your skincare routine, makes it almost impossible for me to ethically provide you with answers to your questions! It’s like going to the hospital and telling them your stomach hurts really bad and immediately asking them to diagnose you or provide you with treatment. Those doctors need to know your history, ask specific questions regarding your symptoms, etc. All before they can diagnose you, or even give you treatment! I hope this makes sense! ❌ DISCLAIMER: My content is created for educational and informational purposes only and is not to be used as a substitute for professional medical advice such as diagnosis and/or treatment.
