Building a following by creating a divide is one of the most disgusting tactics people can use, and yet here we are watching it unfold every day. You won’t see me get involved very often because #notmycircusnotmymonkeys . However, I will share this..... True industry leaders don’t DESTROY others to build themselves up. They inspire change instead of chaos. They create content to unify and build instead of tear down. They use their platforms to speak words of wisdom rather than spread gossip and perpetuate lies, and they encourage others to do the same. But, I get it. I really do. I don’t welcome nor entertain behavior like that here at IBE®, so it’s no surprise that those who act that way gravitate towards each other, unified by toxicity. You’re comfortable there in that tiny bubble where you get to spin the narrative however it suits you and have other keyboard warriors cheering you on. To encourage stylists in this industry to protect themselves and their businesses through liability waivers and extension contracts, then slander any extension brand for instituting that exact same principle to protect its invested stylists...Seems disingenuous to say the least.
