VUG: a growth ETF that has returned an average of 9.26% a year since inception. QQQ: a NASDAQ index fund that has returned an average of 8.26% per year since inception These right here are just some examples of what I invest in but to be totally honest? The bulk of my portfolio is in the S&P 500. Why? Cause the S&P 500 is really tough to beat and I’ve got plenty of time to ride out the dips in the market. A good portfolio? It doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact some of the more simple portfolios do better! For me? I’m re-buying a lot of the same stuff I’ve been buying for the last three years. Why fix it if it isn’t broken? and yes. I am buying even though this year has been a bad year for the S&P 500. In fact, I invested more than I ever have before and I hope to do even more before the year is out.
