What is bright indirect light!!! ☀️🪴🤔 We’ve heard it all before! “Give your plants BRIGHT INDIRECT LIGHT” But what does that even mean?! It can be a little confusing especially when you’re trying to find a spot in your home where your plants will thrive. Here’s my take... -Bright indirect light Plants that are close to a South facing window & I mean right across the window or next to the window without getting any direct light (which can burn the leaves). The FURTHER you have your plant away from the window, it is no longer getting the brightest light possible. For example, if you have your plant across a South facing window but about 5-6ft away, it’s considered medium indirect light. About 10 ft away, it’s considered low indirect light. Now what about other facing windows like East or West? -The sun rises in the East and sets in the West. If you have plants in your EAST facing windows, they’ll get the brightest light in the morning and as the sun sets, the light becomes less. WEST facing windows will get medium light through the day and then brighter towards the afternoon. Do all plants need BRIGHT indirect light? NO! Some can do well in lower light situations & if you feel like you need to supplement more light, grow lights are another great option. Important tip: LESS light = LESS water & MORE light = MORE water Message me or leave a comment if you have any more questions ☀️🪴👍🏽 #plantdad #houseplants #plantshelf #plantcaretips #plantcareisselfcare
