How’s your kkaennip patch doing? We’ve been loving all the pictures you all have been sharing and wanted to let you know that we have collaborated with @eatdrinkdraw to present our favorite crops and chefs in these beautiful postcards that you can print out and use at your markets or in your CSA boxes, or simply attach a pdf to your newsletter. We want to make it easy for you to share some perilla love, and for others who aren’t as familiar with these crops to be introduced to them in a way that’s rooted in community perspectives. We’ll be sharing more on this series, but first up, our kkaennip ambassador, @choibites! Chef Esther calls kkaennip the ultimate Korean comfort vegetable and we couldn’t agree more. As a champion of Korean food and culture (catch her working her magic @mokbar_nyc and on the new Iron Chef), we are so grateful to Esther for her generosity in sharing stories, memories and culinary inspiration for kkaennip.
