Costco — where dreams come true. Despite months of high inflation, Costco has no plans to change the price of its $1.50 hot dog-and-soda combo that was first introduced to stores in the mid-80s. Richard Galanti, CFO of the big-box retailer, announced Thursday the cheap price is a fan-favorite deal and it will stay in place, possibly forever. "Hold the price on the hot dog and the soda a little longer – forever," he said during a presentation on fourth-quarter financial results. Although prices for other items at the stores may increase, Costco executives have avoided hiking prices in their food courts, regardless of the changes in the economy.
