It’s with great sadness that I share this photo of me and @marcusfairs, Dezeen founder, CEO and editor-in-chief. I met Marcus at a Design Hotels conference in Switzerland. Trippin and Dezeen were both speaking on a panel around the sustainability of travel. We met and clicked. An immediate bond cemented over our values around sustainability and the journey of us both birthing independent media platforms - Marcus of course years ahead with Dezeen. He took on this almost big brother role with Sam and myself, offering a treasure box of knowledge and insights on how to navigate the media world. The last time we saw each other, Marcus was giving us a tour around the Dezeen offices before we went to grab a beer at the pub below. I’ll never forget his cheeky smile and words of wisdom. I wish I knew that was the last time we would see each other. My biggest condolences to his family, friends, the Dezeen team and the architecture and design community who have lost a truly special man and pioneer.
