Here are few types of ua (rain) that you might encounter on your visit to Haleakalā during any season! 1. Ua ʻAwa – chilly rain, cold and bitter 2. Kiʻo wao – cool, mountain rain accompanied by wind and fog 3. Lilinoe – fine mist 4. Nāulu – sudden shower of fine rain 5. Kahakikī – to pour down violently with a roar 6. Nākikikiʻi – slanting rain Remember to always come prepared for any type of weather and check the live Crater webcam for current weather conditions at the summit.
