Mequitta Ahuja Merge, 2021 silkscreen print, edition of 25 print 36 inches x 36 inches, image 32 x 32 inches Mequitta Ahuja is a contemporary feminist painter of African American and South Asian descent. Creating works of self-portraiture, she combines themes of myth and legend with personal identity. Ahuja is the recipient of a 2018 Guggenheim fellowship. Her work has been exhibited in and collected by the Brooklyn Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Studio Museum in Harlem, Saatchi Gallery, and other institutions.
