🧡⚡️🤟🏼🦅 A few weeks ago @halesonearthdesigns reached out and asked if she could paint me some custom sneaks. Seeing her other work, obviously I said yes. My guidance was “Orange is my favorite color (obviously) and maybe something with crowns or the I love you 🤟🏼symbol”... The hawk for my dad, the dragonfly for Mo, the mountains, the fire and my favorite saying #thissufferingisaprivilege was all Hales. Not sure this was intentional, but the inclusion of the signature Vans checkerboard pattern also makes me smile. One of my dad’s favorite fun facts was that “Vans are the only company where you can buy only a left or a right shoe because skateboarders will wear out the shoe they break with faster than the other side”.
