There is something enchanting about the Oregon coast—maybe it’s the way it attracts and collects love stories.
Kayln and Andrew had nothing short of an iconic PNW elopement. It started with an emotional first look—they were lit up by the golden sunlight coming through the dense treetops. Brimming with excitement for the day ahead they made their way through the forest.
Waiting for them down on the beach was a decadent private picnic prepared by a local chef and event company. They enjoyed the spread while listening to the waves crash into the shore. After they’d had their fill it was time to do some exploring!
Before heading to their ceremony location Kayln changed into a stunning gown dripping with pearls then they made their way through the forest to the cliffs. They wanted a “world’s end vibe” for their ceremony and that’s exactly what they got! The cliffs on either side dramatically dropped into the ocean below and the expansive view above went on forever.
After exchanging their vows they sat by the edge of the cliff and took in the magnitude of the scenery—and the day.
Kayln and Andrew’s day was far from over though! They wanted a balance between fancy and the tried and true things love, which led them to a midday stop at Pelican Brewery for a drink before heading down to Cannon beach for sunset.
They were nothing short of giddy as they kicked off their shoes and starting running back and forth along the beach. Free and unequivocally in love they’d stop to stare at the setting sun and then at each other. Out of breath they collapsed into the sand, ready to enjoy some hot pizza and a beach fire. Witnessing sunset and the glow of other fires pop up one by one along Cannon beach is absolutely magical.
The serenity is unmatched in the moments before the sun slips below the horizon. You can’t help but be fiercely present as you soak up the last few blissful moments of the day.
Watching Kayln and Andrew walk along the darkened beach, lanterns in hand, with only their faces illuminated it was plain to see just how full their hearts were. And honestly—so was mine.
