👑WOMEN’S EQUALITY DAY & THE CROWN ACT👑 *SWIPE* Most of what I do is move people and society forward. I am unapologetic and super intentional about work and policy that impacts Black women and girls though. That doesn’t mean I exclude others, especially our equally precious Black boys, but I was a Black girl and I’m now a proud Black woman. I know firsthand the world isn’t always kind to us. So, I make it my business to support, celebrate, and lift us through policy making +++. The CROWN Act is only one (1) example of my work on this front. I’m proud to have both conceptualized the CROWN Act “and” to lead the movement that tackles racial discrimination in the form of hair discrimination on behalf of the Coalition. It’s no secret I’m a lifelong racial and gender EQUITY champion, but I get where folks were going with Women’s Equality Day considering the countless gender disparities that exist. It’s amazing to have women supporting women. That’s exactly what @iamtabithabrown has done when it comes to the CROWN Act.
