Our stories are our power. They tell of creation, resilience, and strength—Now, in the past, and into the future. We are the authors of our realities and through our stories, we can move mountains! For hundreds of years, non-Native people have told our stories, often based on myths and harmful stereotypes. But the success of Prey, Reservation Dogs, Rutherford Falls, and more prove that when we tell our stories, people tune in, listen, laugh, and are eager for more. By increasing Native representation on screen and behind the camera, we can create more authentic stories and multi-dimensional characters that demonstrate who Native peoples are today.
