Looking for dog friendly winter activities in alberta? I got you. 1. Wild Ice Skating. I recommend checking out Lake Louise, Spray Lake or Gap Lake. (always check the ice before getting on, YOU are responsible for your own safety....don’t assume it’s thick enough just cause you see others on it) 2. Cross country skiiing! For off leash head to Bragg Creek or for on leash trails check out Kananaskis or Banff. Make sure if your dog is pulling you to get a proper set up/harness. Not all trails are dog friendly, do your research. 3. Sunrise hike! I recommend something with little to no avy terrain.
