Don’t wait, request your Building Safety plan review and permits now! Updated 2023 Los Angeles County Building Codes go into effect for projects in Malibu Sunday, January 1. The deadline for projects to be reviewed under the 2020 codes is midnight, Saturday, December 31 (all required documents must be provided by December 31). The City’s Permit Technicians will review online submittals Tuesday, January 3 to determine which code cycle will apply to projects.
