@peacecorpsguatemala 🇬🇹 recently celebrated two important milestones: 60 years of Peace Corps service and the swearing in of the first 18 Volunteers to serve since the pandemic! 🙌 🎉 🌠 . Ambassador William Popp swore them in after 11 weeks of pre-service training. The group will support families and communities to advance Health, Youth, and Economic Development programs throughout the country. . During the ceremony, a tree was planted to commemorate six decades of partnership through service between the United States and Guatemala. Since opening our post, more than 5,000 Volunteers have served communities here. .
