ohio is where i was born and raised. where i grew up too fast and learned too much about the hardships life brings at an extremely young age. i have so many memories, some good, some traumatic and a lot in between, so when i arrived this time, i found myself instantly thrown back into my teenage self, remembering the losses, the friendships, face to face with the unprocessed grief i’ve carried for my entire life. my family came to a signing of mine for the first time ever and you know what? by the end of the night, i felt so much relief that i could barely breathe. something shifted within me this trip, and even though it was only a day, i decided that i will no longer run from the past. i will welcome it with open eyes and an open heart. thank you to all of you who came out to Cincinnati to see me, my family included. do you still live in your hometown? if so, is it comforting or suffocating? is it filled with ghosts you aren’t ready to face or are you one of the lucky ones? this post is very vulnerable but i just wanted to share this breakthrough with you because it’s been so freeing for me and we’re always here for one another 🤍 Another huge thank you to @josephbethcincy for hosting such a special event 🙏🏼 Outfit deets: Dress: @fashiontofigure Boots: @Gucci Earrings: @acchitto Rings: @bisoulovely
