Sunday reminder.. love is patient, kind, encouraging, forgiving, calm, fun, exciting, understanding, peaceful and much much more. There’s so many women out there who stay because of time spent, kids, money, lack of self worth, the idea that love is chaotic, no one will love them because of *enter any excuse in the book*. Lemme just tell you, I’ve been there (minus the kids). I’ve been with someone who told me I was nothing without him, no one would love me, only spent time with me when it was convenient for him, beat me for confronting his cheating, I was crazy and that’s why he was cheating... blah blah blah. I believed that. I spent years wondering why I wasn’t enough, if he was right, working to be a better me so he would love me like he loved his random one night stands. Yall, whatever you gotta do, please leave those losers. Raphael has shown me the complete opposite of what I could have even imagined love looking like. I thought the fairytales were only on Disney and all men were trash. He’s reminded me that he’s not completing me, he’s adding to me, because I AM enough on my own. I am whole on my own. I am worthy of love, joy, laughter, acceptance, security, stability and more. Real men and real love DO exist. I see it everyday in my own marriage (and no it’s not perfect) and in many relationships around me. Leaving is hard, but once the first step is taken, you’ll figure it out from there! I’m always rooting for you & praying each and every one of you finds someone who loves and respects you, makes you laugh till you cry, protects you, supports you, but most of all, never makes you question.
