Done Is Better Than Perfect; Here’s Why
Imagine two people.
Both have the same goals:
To lose X kilos of bodyfat
in the next X months.
One commits to
showing up everyday.
She trains 3-5x a week.
In the first few weeks,
she doesn’t see any changes.
Despite that, she still shows up.
She makes mistakes. She fails.
But she fails quickly and forward.
In the following month,
she started to see
some improvements:
In her performance,
endurance,
strength,
skills,
and in her physique.
Until finally, she hit her goal.
The other person
on the other hand?
She believes she needs to do
everything perfectly
for it to be good enough.
So when she trains,
she goes all in all the time.
Which goes really well at first.
She’s able to nail everything
in the first few weeks.
She trains 6 days a week.
Not missing any sessions.
But then here comes the 4th week.
She’s exhausted.
She’s not satisfied.
She’s frustrated.
She said to herself:
“This is not working.”
Until the 6 sessions per week
becomes 4... 3...
Sometimes 6...
But the effort she puts in this time
generates more anxiety than joy.
So shortly after
she goes back to 4...
then 3...
to 2...
To none.
The lesson here?
All or nothing gets you all or nothing.
Done is better than perfect
because perfect never gets done.
When we always think about
bringing out this perfect idea
we have in mind?
Chances are we will often
end up spending most of our time
in our heads...
...thinking about starting
rather than JUST starting.
Though I know it’s hard
for our high-achieving parts
to recognise that.
That is why in SMP,
under the guidance of our
dedicated coaches...
You will learn to
→ have high standards AND self-compassion
→ find fulfillment in your present journey
→ train and eat for your
performance and physique goals
and for your overall well being
So you can actually experience
radical transformation
and lifelong personal mastery.
Are you ready for that?
Maybe it’s something
you’ve always thought about doing.
Now is the time.
