The way he finds so much comfort with his daddy. 🫠 Our poor little guy had a rough last couple days ... We ended our family trip in the Vegas ER. 😔 But as heartbreaking as it was to see him struggle, I can’t help but feel so much gratitude. After years of working in the pediatric ER, I’ve learned how fragile life is, how blessed we are to have our children in our arms, and what a privilege it is to be so needed. Our recent experience reminded me of how precious it all is. As Ry was putting Bo to bed, he called me in because Bo was crying, coughing, and couldn’t settle. As a mom, I’ve learned in these moments to quiet noise and simply look at my child. I turned on the light and saw his lips swollen and face turning red. I knew immediately what was happening. We rushed to the hospital, and Bo was treated for anaphylaxis—something we’d never dealt with before. No one in our house has allergies, this came out of no where. In moments like this, everything seems to slow way down and as soon as Bo was stable — my mind went to YOU.
