pictured: mom and grandpa, now vs then... so...entering the third year of being away from my family, this year we still celebrated the spirit of the dragon boat festival -remotely. Ate zongzi yesterday, FaceTime mom, aunties and grandpa this morning. I wondered why the zongzi didn’t taste so good anymore this year? Maybe it’s that piece of reunion and warmth missing, but what else would you find comfort in? (P2 grandpa with his new calligraphy work, and the answer seemed clear- “be grateful, to stay happy” :)
