Make sure you’re drinking enough water in the days leading up to your hike. Use electrolytes to help your body use water more efficiently by replenishing important minerals. ☀️ Go early. Start your hike early in the morning and enjoy the perks of beating the heat and seeing an unforgettable sunrise. ⛰️ Go up. Head up to one of our many higher altitude paths to catch those cool breezes. Tip: Mount Lemmon and Madera Canyon are great places to hike on a summer day! More hiking tips: Protect yourself from the sun with a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and light-colored clothing. Choose trails with shade to stop and rest in. Be aware of the weather and heat warnings.
