My first Art Basel is officially in the books, wow, I'm incredibly grateful. 🤞🏾🥹 Much love to the @makespringhill team for bringing me in to show some pieces at the #MetaHouse 🌹 The theme of the week was "Make it, till you make it" I challenged myself to create & show pieces that represent what that means to me. In order to "make it" I believe you need a code... aka a set of values that guide you to your dreams. ✨ Each piece represents a few values that are important to me; all are named after a few of my favorite songs 🤌🏾 (L to R) Title: Who you with II Value: Community Title: LOVEHAPPY Value: Love Title: I'm not a star, somebody lied Value: Authenticity What's crazy is, I never really thought my art would be considered good enough to be invited into these type of spaces, but it's crazy how God will slap you in face with a reminder worthiness. Thank you so much to @makespringhill @meta and everyone else involved. I felt so affirmed, welcomed, and taken care of the entire time.🤞🏾 This gave me a taste of what's possible, no more playing small. See you back in Miami next year 😏
