Kodak & Knickerbocker, available June 18 at 11am EST at knickerbocker.nyc. ⠀ Since the late 1800’s Kodak has been inspiring creativity and capturing history. To start conceptualizing the collection for this collaboration we first explored Kodak’s incredibly rich archive - combing through thousands of clippings, ads and Kodak Magazines. Within each of the Kodak Magazines, published for the men and women of the Kodak organization, we came to acknowledge that the global community they built originated from their humble home of Rochester, New York. The company magazine covered everything from the company’s sports teams, cooking recipes, gardening tips, poetry, short stories to gallery events and more. In researching their extensive history you learn the importance of capturing a “Kodak Moment” stems from the company’s lust for life and deep appreciation of culture. Knickerbocker is a brand that lives and breathes New York - the world’s most diverse city and home to many rich subcultures where Kodak moments are ever present.
