Last night someone (or something) broke into the Manning Family Cabin. With total disregard for wilderness regulations, this vandal destroyed the cabin and made no attempt to get a backcountry permit. Our team of investigators gathered evidence and we need your help figuring out who it was. Take a look through the clues and hopefully, with your sleuthing, we can catch the criminal!
The culprit was sloppy and left behind footprints leading from a subterranean vault to the cabin. It appears the prints feature small feet and evidence of something dragging behind them.
After snacking on produce in the cabin, the fiend flew into a rage, flipping a bench. The culprit must be quite confident as they dropped little oval pellets behind out in the open.
They then entered the cabin which, with no electricity, requires large eyes and good night vision. In an attempt to calm down, it appears the culprit pulled up a pillow to keep warm and watch the fire in the stone fireplace.
Much like Goldilocks, the culprit then entered in the other side of the cabin containing three beds. It appears Howell Manning's bed was just right, taking a skilled climber to be able to reach the top bunk.
The real manning cabin is nestled at 8000 feet and surrounded by ponderosa pine, vegetation this culprit does not see in the lower desert. Evidence suggests they were fascinated by the unknown plant and attempted to gather nesting materials.
Given the clues, who do you think entered the cabin?
