Happy heavenly birthday Dad! Today would’ve been his 77th birthday. I’ve been going through boxes of photos lately scanning them into my computer (there’s literally hundreds!) and it has reminded me what an extremely full life my dad lived. He really saw it all and to say he accomplished so much over the years would be an understatement. He lived true to his words and made the most of every day. Even as he got older and was in pain he always kept a smile on his face and cracked a joke or 2 or 3. When he was in the hospital one of the last things he asked me was if he was still “handsome and sexy”. I’ll never forget it because it was the most Ric thing to say and of course he made all the nurses laugh. I hope wherever he is right now, he’s eating all the yellow cake with chocolate frosting and mint chip ice cream (it doesn’t count cause it melts 😉)
