I never dreaded the passing of time more than after becoming a mom. I feel this natural desire to freeze time while also wishing for the future while ALSO longing for the past. However I keep reminding myself that the right now is exactly where I’m supposed to be. I can watch my baby grow and enjoy milestones without dreading him getting older. And I can celebrate the challenges and unique joys that come with the specific season that we’re in without wanting to move onto the next. I’m already starting to replace my “stay little forever”s with “you’re growing so strong and learning so much” and replacing my “I wanna go back”s with “that was such a fun season.” Time is moving fast right now so I want to cherish every bit of it.
