8:48:09. Sub 9 Leadville 100 MTB mission accomplished! 30 minutes faster than last year. I really enjoyed racing with a personal time goal for this race. It was a totally different mentality than racing for a place result. Instead of worrying about who was ahead or behind me, I felt like everyone around me was part of a team. We were in it together. Pushing ourselves against the clock. Even though this was a key race in true @lifetimegrandprix series, I haven’t even looked at my overall result. (Very strange for someone as competitive as I am). Instead, I’m proud of how hard I was able to push myself. There were some very dark moments. I truly didn’t think I was going to make it until I was 100 yards from the line. 🧡⚡️😮‍💨🤟🏼 Special thank you to @emmerlin and @merideemoore for spending the day chasing me around as an all star pit crew. And thank you to @canyon_na, @bigtallwayne and @ernurbeer for spending hours on my bike yesterday making sure everything was dialed. It worked!
