Hmm One Month It’s been a month since I competed at the NACAC U23 Championship placing 3rd and I haven’t had time to reflect till now. Shit Performance. Sums the meet up in two words. Frustrated. Describes how I felt. I worked so hard throughout the past year to have one of my worst meets in two years at the most important meet of my life to date. However, there is more to look at than just my performance I am grateful for all my teammates at UCLA and on Team USA for being so kind throughout the process and during the trip from playing card games in the hotel lobby to supporting each other during competition. Creating bonds that I hope to keep in the future. I am thankful for Coach Sean and the support staff throughout the school year and post-season for getting me ready for competition and keeping me healthy throughout it all. Being there through the ups and downs of the season. All in all, there is so much look back on and understand that this was my first international competition, an unexplored territory that I have yet to see and I hit the ground hard and stumbled, but it is time to get back up with the bumps and bruises i’ve received and get going. It is time to move on and pursue the future ahead of me, not worrying about what has happened but rather what can happen in the future. Into The Unknown.
