The first time I visited New York City I was in fourth grade and I came with my family to visit my uncle. Like every tourist in the city we visited Times Square. The lights, the voices, the sounds, the smell, everything was different for me, but what caught my attention was seeing a black woman on the big screen. Stunned by her image, I told my dad "someday I will be there too" to which he replied "of course you're going to be there." He answered me with such certainty that he made me believe. At that time I didn't think about modeling or the world of fashion but I did believe without any doubt that at some point I was going to be there. Fast Forward yesterday when I showed this video to my parents, they both remembered the moment when I told them that I would be on the big screen of Times Square. It was such a beautiful moment to remember. Believe without fear and with faith, anything is possible. Death and life are in the hands of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
