The Lotus set is going to be re-released in a Limited quantity, today 28th of June 2022 at 10am Pacific Time, on Beautylish website! 🪷🎉🎉🎉 There was quite a lot of interest for this set and it sold out quickly. Some of you contacted me to see if there was a possibility to restock the set and also the brushes individually - whether it was to get only the ones that you were interested in, or to get duplicates of the most used, or for some of you, to be able to have a selection shipped to your country (I have been informed there are restrictions with regards to the costs per order at the customs). When this set released in 2021, the cost of the Lotus set was 215 usd, which is very interesting for a set of 6 brushes handmade in Japan, the time and complexity required to make these brushes is very high. 🪷 There is a purple coating applied on the metal brass ferrules which is not common and we used newly available techniques. 🪷 The handles are colourful: a very dark purple with subtle golden sparkles at the bottom, sakura pink in the center, and white at the top. The layers of lacquer require a long time to set in between each layer and involve different processes, the manufacturing of these handles alone takes many weeks which also depends on the weather conditions and humidity. Each step needs to be done with so much care and expertise, up to the very final steps where it is assembled with the ferrule and brush. 🪷 The brushes are bundled with very high quality bristles, some brushes involve mixing different fibers, this is also a process that takes more time and lots more effort, and also costs more. The good news is that the price of the set will be maintained at 215 usd and the individual brushes will have an extremely interesting price point! This set will be quite different from whatever may come in the future so I hope this is something you are excited to see back!
