Vodka made from breadfruit? No really. It’s a thing. And you can find it in the Florida Keys. If you’re wondering what the heck is breadfruit don’t worry. You’re not alone. Breadfruit is grown in mostly tropical regions including South East Asia, the Caribbean and and Central and South America. It’s most commonly eaten as a starch or side. We call it pana in Puerto Rico. We had the opportunity to enjoy a tasting at @kimptonkeywest with @mutinyislandvodka which is distilled from Breadfruit. The Mutiny Island Puerto Coffee vodka was of course my fave. This was definitely a treat to be able to enjoy in Key West and it was even cooler to learn that the keys is home to the first breadfruit grove in the continental United States.
