There’s something about carving out a little sacred space. What strikes me the most about these photos is the expression on Samm and Catalina’s faces when they are writing their vows to each other. If you were asked to journal about your lover, what would you write? If the space was private, quiet, and special, what might come out? What memories would surface? What details about your lover would rise, like cream, to the top? And how might it feel to share those things, formally, hand in hand, and really receive what your partner is saying? Your story deserves to be told. Your love makes the world a brighter place. And whether you are getting married legally or not, creating this sacred bubble is what ceremony is all about. Allowing your laughter, tears, pain and pride in your love to come forth. This vulnerability is the glue that holds partnerships together and builds them into something far greater than the sum of their parts.
