Lululemon entered my life when I was at my lowest. I somehow made it through the interview process and was offered a seasonal educator position at lululemon The Point. For months, I would call my mom on my 10’s telling her I was going to get fired. I was too afraid to approach customers. I did not know the product. Then somehow, they kept me on past holiday. The Point became my safe haven. I was able to plant a new version of myself into it’s floor. I became part of a team that offered me light when all I could see was darkness. @benudarbe , thank you for always encouraging me to be myself, even when I didn’t know who that was. @sarah.hawk , thank you for believing in my ability to grow. I think it speaks volumes that I still visit my team each time I’m in town. You’re family. Following the Margaritaville tour, I worked at lululemon in Williamsburg and wonderful leaders like @evanbrodsky and @lauranicolebennett and @huntermadden97 met me where I was at, which was not wanting to be working at lululemon. I applied to be a KL at Williamsburg and was turned down, and applied again at East 66th and 3rd. @beetrak took me on, regardless of my pretty lame work in Williamsburg. She told me she knew I was in it for the right reasons, the reason being I wanted to influence educator’s lives the way Ben and Sarah had influenced mine. The months I spent with East 66th and 3rd were full of love, growth, laughter, and more growth. I was challenged every single day, and my leadership bench, @cadenjamesthomas in specific, showed up for me no matter what. I am so inspired by the humans that work at that store. They are giving, intelligent, empathetic people. They are people who have showed me grace on my worst days and pride on my best. @lululemon , I don’t have the words for what you have been to me. Thank you.
