pride parade/weekend was BI-MAZING 💖💜💙 (no, i know it makes no absolute sense) • there were a lot of mixed feelings this whole weekend, in relation to the supreme’s court horrid decision—anger, frustration, hopelessness. at the same time, the excitement of celebrating the community i’m part of has always been a highlight of my summer. despite the news, I was reminded this weekend of how many people aren’t willing to give up so easily and rather fight for so many peoples’ lives including LGBTQ+ (trans & nonbinary folks esp), POC, and disabled lives. when i was taking photos for the first photo, a person came up to me and hyped me up, saying similarly that i should pose with confidence and that filled me with laughter & joy. never have i felt such love and pride for myself as a bisexual/queer asian womxn until finding the right people that will listen and understand our struggles. having that kind of support system/friends in your life is so important to have so cherish them and the moments you share with love and care. this is not the end of the light—we will not stop fighting until we bring rights for all. i will continue to scream and speak up for what is true. ✊🏽 as always, my heart is with you all, and happy pride 💖💕 • #happypride #asianlove
