Ralph Curry
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ralph Curry has performed as a cellist in the Cleveland Orchestra since 1978. Curry also maintains an active chamber music life as a member of the Amici String Quartet. Prior to his position with The Cleveland Orchestra, Curry accepted a one-year substitute cello position with the New York Philharmonic, cutting his studies short at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Previously, he held the principal cello chair in the Colorado Philharmonic and performed as a member of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Curry has appeared as a soloist with the Detroit and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestras, as well as the Colorado Philharmonic.
