I met Lorna late last year when she was a guest at a wedding in Bellingen. We immediately hit it off and ran around the wedding reception together like a couple of mischievous scamps. Other guests saw us and thought we were old friends. I was drawn to her energy and told her I loved photographing her. She confided in me that she had always struggled with her body image and wanted to do something to celebrate herself for her 30th birthday. So a few months later she travelled back up from Sydney to spend the day with me at a super cute Airbnb in Coffs for her “fuck yeah I’m a goddess” shoot. We drank wine, cranked some tunes and played about as I tried to show her the Lorna that everyone else sees. She absolutely killed it and said she felt totally at ease and loves how sexy and beautiful she looks in these photos. So let’s celebrate Lorna for being an exquisite human and starting her 30s with a bang. And a big fuck you to mainstream media for making us feel unworthy in our beautiful bodies.
