Origami 5 point star ⭐️ Continuing with the handmade birthday decorations, this is one of our favourite things to make ⭐️ There are two parts to this, making a perfect pentagon shape and folding the star - showing you both here: Part I ‘The perfect pentagon’ Making these stars is really easy when you break it down, the first part is all about getting the right pentagon shape with the right creases on the pentagon. You can start with any size square sheet of paper, you might want to practise with a large piece of paper first as it makes the folds easier I’m making bunting with these stars but they’d also make great decorations (which I’m also going to do over the festive season!). Here I’ve used an old book, but I’m also going to use craft paper that my daughters been painting with over the past year to add some colour! Part II Bringing the folds together ⭐️ Get the folds correct (and do each fold 5 times - I’ve sped this up to fit the reel in to 30 seconds) and it’s so easy to bring together ⭐️ When you bring it up around the small pentagon base it almost folds itself, it seems difficult at first once you’ve practised a couple of times it will be really simple. Just start folding the creases into one another around the pentagon shape in a clockwise rotation. ⭐️the last arm of the star has a slightly different fold, you will see the tweak that you need to make to get it, it all folds into itself Happy Origami star making! #myplasticfreehome #origamilove #origamistar #plasticfree #plasticfreeliving #origamibunting #partybunting #plasticfreepackaging #savemoney #reuse #upcyclersofinstagram #origamiart #diycrafts #diybunting #bunting #birthdaybunting #diychristmas #diychristmasdecor
