2022 ❤️ What a year! We couldn’t have asked for a better one. We were excited to work with others to bring the 4th Leeds Lit Fest to the city this year. Teaming up with partners from across the Leeds & the country, we brought a bunch of events. Including a very special big gathering of northern writers, as part of the Northern Fiction Alliance with Comma Press. Our outside space got cosier with the new addition of our lovely shelter, built by the brilliant @material.matters.build to keep you covered on a rainy day! @hydeparkjazzclub blessed the snug and main room with weekly performances and jam sessions all year, hosted by the brilliant @loddxr, while @fergusquill continued to bring incredible shows to our upstairs and downstairs spaces. Our weekly @brainndance DJs have brought a lot of smiles and energy to the main room on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, representing the rich local scene of selectors! Our new Cafe Biblioteque, created this year by @thedividedshelf_ featuring an array of beautiful vintage @penguinukbooks, has further enriched our book club, along with revamped shelving around the main room 📚 Our lovely team have enjoyed chatting to you all this year while serving up freshly roasted @northstarcoffeeshop coffee, cakes and dishes from our delicious new menu, created by head chef Jake 😊 which wouldn’t be the same without the freshly made @leedsbreadcoop Bread supply! Thank you to all of our beer providers - craft cans, session pints, stouts, sours and more 🍻 @northernmonk + more. And it wouldn’t be Book Club without the snug. Filled with plants and flowers from @hydeparkflowerclub.by.dotties, cared for by our loving plant dad @soundsoftheoblack, who has also run magical monthly acoustic sessions in this space for ‘Things I’ve Been Up To’ ✨ Finally, what a load of amazing gigs we have been lucky enough to have with us this year!
