Through the window đȘâ
â
Windows offer multiple avenues for interpretation by Magnum photographers, whether they are looking in or out. In Henri Cartier-Bresson's (@fondationhcb) picture, the reflection of New York City on the window allows the viewer to connect with the awe of the subject's reaction. Patrick Zachmann (@pzachmann), a curious outsider, looks in from the street on a private scene, in which case the window serves as a small portal into an intimate gathering. Alec Soth (@littlebrownmushroom) captures a melancholic night scene through a hotel room window; the loneliness of the city mirrors the interior. â
