As I sit and look back at last week’s news coverage and support, I am overwhelmed that folks have decided to pour into us the way they did and continue to do. Update: - We have raised $7000+ in a week! The GoFundMe is still active as this amount supports myself and my chosen family of 4 other folks whom I have crossed the border with and have sought asylum in the US. LINK IN BIO!! - We have gotten donation of clothes and food since we got to NYC - We have been placed in a temporary shelter (but can’t cook or accommodate groceries) so we are seeking (semi)permanent housing. - We were sponsored gift cards to buy items we need. - We were accommodated, treated, fed and gifted by @blacktranstravelfund (hot meals, warm clothes, make-up, beauty products, more clothes, TRAVEL AROUND THE CITY) - We continue to receive love and support as we navigate the restarting of our lives. . . .
