There are Christmas decorations and markets throughout the old town, a winter festival with festive activities, shows and performances, and because it’s out of season, it’s much quieter making it much more pleasant to explore. The weather is generally mild however it can be quite rainy in winter. A few of the restaurants and bars are also shut down during this time. Things to do: 🎄Visit the Christmas Markets in the Old Town ❄️Take part in some of Dubrovnik’s Winter festival activities including workshops, lighting of the advent candle, and live bands ⛸ Activities for children such as an ice rink, festive train and theatre shows and fun activities in Mokošica 🎄 Visit the Christmas Shop 🚠 Take the cable car to Mount Srd for an amazing view of the city 🍽 Lunch at Panorama restaurant at the top of Mount Srd 🚶🏻‍♀️Explore the Old Town 🚶🏻‍♀️ Walk the city walls (the Dubvrovnik pass includes the city walls, several museums and public transport) 🚶🏻‍♀️ Game of Thrones tour Where to stay: We stayed at Hotel Excelsior which is a beautiful, luxury hotel just a short walk from the old town. The hotel has beautiful Christmas decorations throughout, and an Advent offer available daily at the Abakus Piano Bar with a selection of sweets, coffees and warm cocktails.
