FACT ABOUT THE EUCHARISTIC ADORATION 1. Jesus’ Teaching on the Bread of Life (John 6:48–58) Jesus repeatedly says, “I am the bread of life... the living bread that came down from heaven” (John 6:48, 51). He adds, “My flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink” (John 6:55). Many disciples found this teaching hard and left Him (John 6:60–66), but Jesus did not explain it away as symbolic—He affirmed its literal meaning. 2. The Last Supper Institution (Matthew 26:26–28; Mark 14:22–24; Luke 22:19–20) Jesus takes bread and wine and declares: “This is my body... This is my blood... Do this in remembrance of me.” He does not say, “This represents my body.” Instead, He identifies the bread and wine as His true Body and Blood. 3. Pauline Witness (1 Corinthians 10:16 & 11:23–29) Paul calls the Eucharist a “participation” (Greek: koinonia) in the Body and Blood of Christ (1 Corinthians 10:16). He warns that anyone who receives it unworthily “will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord” (1 Corinthians 11:27). Such a warning would make little sense if the Eucharist were merely symbolic. 4. Old Testament Prefigurations Exodus 12: The Passover lamb had to be eaten, prefiguring Christ, the true Lamb of God (John 1:29). Exodus 16: God provided manna in the wilderness, foreshadowing the true heavenly bread—Jesus Himself. Proverbs 9:1–5: Wisdom invites people to eat her bread and drink her wine, symbolizing divine life given through the Eucharist. #choralmusicghana #catholictiktok #@CATHOLIC PHOTOGRAPHY @CATHOLIC OR NOTHING @REV.
