There’s been an added air of excitement this fall due to the grand reopening of Lincoln Center's newly redesigned David Geffen Hall! The festivities took place throughout October, concluding last weekend with two special Open House days. Behind the streamers and confetti photographed below, The MAP and Pre-College High School and Youth choruses fill the aisles after performing together for the first time during the celebration. Jaap van Zweden (’80, violin) is also on-stage after conducting the New York Philharmonic in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with soloists including bass-baritone Davóne Tines (MM ’13, voice). Renée Fleming (’86, voice) and Joaquina Kalukango (Group 40) were among the star-studded lineup of guest performers.
