Contact me to buy $10 tickets🎬🎟 As my platform, I chose the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) for several reasons. ~First, by giving others essentials, we can show what kindness looks like, when most of their life has been filled with abuse, pain, or grief. As seen in Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, essentials must come first to gain momentum in growth and healing. ~Second, by giving each other a voice, we can help others stand up to their respondents and find the help they need. This correlates with the ever-relevant MeToo Movement spreading awareness of these far too common issues. ~Finally, there are devastatingly high rates of homicides and suicides because of abusive households and unsafe environments. I was fortunate to grow up in a loving home, but this is not always the case. Thanks to the YWCA and its local partnership with Palomar, women and oftentimes their children’s lives are changed in this community and beyond. It does not have to be the YWCA for you. Find an organization or even start your own to be the change you want to see in the world.
