Bloodmaids, obsessive desire, and a creepy house with secrets, oh my! Steeped in atmospheric descriptions galore, this book set a seriously unsettling mood, which is exactly what I was looking for. I consider it a vampire-adjacent tale and it’s perfect for those who want a reading experience where your skin feels itchy and you’re 80% sure that somebody is watching you.
