Well, this might be an unpopular opinion and pretty much goes against all the SM strategists and marketing gurus out here, but fundamentally I stand by this sentiment. Your social media can be whatever you want it to be. It should serve as an extension of who you are in the real world and what you want to share with others. Yes, strategy can be important when building a brand or personality online, but nothing and I mean nothing, should be more important than authenticity. Want to post more than 3 times a day? Go for it! Want to only post once a week? Okay. Want to post photos of your cat? Sure. Feel like vlogging and letting others into your life? GO GET IT! The algorithm is going to do it’s thing on every platform and yes, some content may get more ‘likes’ than others. But you know what? It feels so bloody damn free and clean when you post content that YOU LIKE. Your like is the only one that matters. THEIR like is a BONUS 👏👏👏 And if people unfollow or choose to opt out of your content, bid them farewell and keep doing you.
