Open air painting is SO fun to do. I love it because it’s artistic and allows me to have a great visual plan for my result. The thing is, it’s not the best option for everyone. Here are some key consultation tips that help me to know if a client is the right fit for open air painting. 1. They are okay with warmth. Open air painting is more than likely going to give a warmer result. Clients that want buttery, honey, or caramel results are perfect! ☀️ 2. They want something subtle. Someone who wants to walk out of the salon looking like a whole new woman is not the right candidate for open air painting. Open air is going to give a soft, natural result. So if you hear your client say words like “subtle, soft, or natural” GO FOR IT! 🎨 3. They want super low-maintenance. Yes, we can achieve lower maintenance with foilayage, root shadows, etc... but if your client wants to be able to go 6 months, 9 months, etc... open air is the way to go in my opinion! Tag a client that you think would look amazing with an open air balayage 👇 #mastersofbalayage #balayageeducation #openairpainting #paintedhair #lunalight
