This project celebrates hiking into history: her family’s 35th annual trip to Yosemite and the Chinese influence in Yosemite where Chinese laborers built Tioga Road and Wawona. For Suzette's family, supporting Yosemite conservation is an opportunity to honor Chinese American history, the immigrant story and her own family’s deep personal connections to Yosemite. Today, Yosemite remains a touchstone for Team Lee and their grandchildren, and it is a place to honor their ancestors.
